Starting a blog for the twins (and previous writings)

I've decided to start a blog to document the cute things the twins do, as well as the milestones that they pass. It seems like everyday they do something new, and it's hard to keep track! Some of the other Moms in the Huron Valley Parents of Multiples Group that we belong to gave me the idea to start this. I think it will be great to look back on the posts in a few years and see how far we've come. I thought it would also be good for the babies to read once they're older. Here is some of the things I posted on the previous website (dougherty.aboutmybaby.com), I thought I would transition to just a blog since the other website is hard to keep up with (they shut it down if I don't make updates often enough and, let's face it, working full-time and caring for two infants doesn't leave me much time!)

Here are the postings that I am moving from the other website (posts are from most recent to oldest):

Sat, Apr 25, 2009 7:53 AM Matthew and Claire tried rice cereal today, nobody liked it until we added some peaches. Matthew really liked it with the peaches and Claire's still a little on the fence. I'll try and get a video up of one of their feedings, it's quite a production!

Thu, Apr 16, 2009 7:52 AM Matthew are Claire are 4 months old! They had their 4 month check-up. Matthew is 25 1/4 inches and weighs 15 lbs 8 oz. Claire is 25 1/4 inches and weighs 13 lbs 5 oz. The Dr said they're doing great and are very healthy kids!

Sat, Mar 14, 2009 6:44 AM We had Matthew and Claire's 3 month photos taken at Gracon Studios in Highland with their ducks and bunny. Check them out under the blog section at: http://www.graconportraits.com/mp_includes/body.asp

Sun, Feb 22, 2009 12:13 PM Claire and Matthew were Baptised at Church of the Holy Spirit in Highland by Father Leo. He is the same priest that Baptised Kristyn in 1981 at the same church. They slept through the entire ceremony! We had a party at the house afterwards, we had a great time and are so glad so many family and friends could make it. Check out the photos we've added.

Fri, Feb 20, 2009 The twins had their 2 month check-up today. Matthew weighed 11 lbs 12 oz and Claire weighed 9 lbs 14 oz. Matthew is in the 50th percentile for boys and Claire is in the 25th percentile for girls. They had their first round of shots today and they handled it like little troopers!

Fri, Jan 16, 2009 12:11 PM The twins are 1 month old. At their check-up, Matthew weighed 8 lbs 14 oz and Claire weighed 7 lbs 6 oz. Matthew is in the 50th percentile for boys and Claire is in the 25th percentile for girls. Dr. Navai said everyone is going great!

Tue, Dec 16, 2008 12:00 PM Matthew Christopher was born at 11:06 AM. He weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and was 20 inches long. Claire Marie was born at 11:07 AM. She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19 inches long.

Mon, Nov 24, 2008 9:17 AM I've been attending weekly monitoring at Beaumont every Monday AM to make sure everything is going well. They just monitor the babies' heartbeats for about an hour and create a printout to send to the Dr. Everything is still set for a C-section on December 16th.
Sat, Oct 18, 2008 11:00 AM We had our 30 week ultrasound this morning. Both babies are doing great. Baby A (boy) is 3 lbs 3 oz, Baby B (girl) is 3 lbs 4 oz. The doctor said they are in the 50th percentile for singletons, which means they are exactly average. We have another appointment in two weeks.

Sun, Oct 12, 2008 6:00 PM Kelly, Jen, Aunt Cathy, Jill, Susie and Mom S hosted a baby shower for the twins today. Thank you for making the day run so smooth, everyone had a great time. We were so glad so many people could make it! Photos coming soon.
Mon, Sep 15, 2008 12:47 PM We had an ultrasound appointment this morning (photos are under Ultrasound 9/15/08). A is the boy, B is the girl. A weighs 1 lb, 10 ounces; B weighs 1 lb, 11 ounces. The ultrasound tech said their weight is right on track. They also took measurements of their heads, torsos, legs, etc.
